The opportunity

The Adobe Photoshop Desktop team is in search of a dedicated and highly skilled developer with a positive outlook. As an integral member of our core engineering team, you will take charge of shaping features to life from start to finish. You'll thrive in our dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment, collaborating closely with fellow developers, quality engineers, designers, and product managers. Your role as a developer is pivotal in delivering an exceptional user experience, and we expect nothing less than excellence in your work. The ideal candidate will excel in an agile and cooperative setting and have a proven track record of success in web applications. What you will do

• Consistently produce top tier, resilient features and take ownership of them.
• Collaborate closely with Quality Engineers, Product Management, and User Experience Designers across geographical boundaries to deliver the "Adobe magic."
• Pioneer and develop innovative functionalities within the digital imaging field.
• Implement comprehensive automation and unit tests to ensure thorough code validation.
• Conduct thoughtful and constructive code reviews for your colleagues.
• Serve as a mentor and exemplar for fellow engineers, setting a high standard for performance and professionalism.

What you need to succeed

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, or a combination of education and experience, is preferred.
• Accumulated 5-8 years of extensive development experience.
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of C++ and exceptional programming fundamentals.
• Proficiently navigates both Mac OS and Windows OS.
• Proficient in profiling, debugging, and testing complex systems.
• Proactive, with a strong inclination and ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements and environments.
• Showcases outstanding problem-solving abilities.
• Experienced in working within Agile methodologies.
• Good/practical understanding of architectural patterns
• Possesses the knack for innovation and can devise creative solutions to challenges within the digital imaging realm.
• Optimally communicates technical intricacies to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Comfortable navigating through unclear situations and has the adaptability to shift and adopt new technologies based on acquired knowledge.
