The Role


As a Buyer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….


  • Strong on Ethics & Integrity

  • Preparation of Procurement Strategy for a Project
  • Finalization of Procurement templates
  • Preparation of Project Approved Vendor List in consultation with CVL Team
  • Preparation of Individual Procurement Plan (IPP)
  • Preparation & Evaluation of Pre-qualification documents
  • Management of Purchase Process (RFQ to Order)
  • Resolution of Commercial queries
  • Communication & Coordination for resolution of Technical queries
  • Negotiation of Offers / Quotes, as required
  • Preparation of Purchase Order
  • Resolution of change requirements & - Preparation of Change Orders
  • Identify and finalize scope variations with Change Notes
  • Project Procurement closure with update on orders, Suppliers & Contractors performance
  • Effective usage of resources to achieve efficiency in deliverables and work with in the budget
  • To lead a team of Buyers for the designated project / area with compliance to deliverables
  • Coordination with Expediting & Inspection leads of the designated Project Procurement
  • Coordination with Projects & Engineering for smooth functioning and conflict resolutions
  • Build and Maintain good relationship with Client SME teams
  • Project Management Reports

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE) - Mech, Civil, Chemical, E&I
  • Diploma in Engineering -Mech, Civil, Chemical, E&I
  • PG Diploma in Material Management or equivalent is an added advantage
  • B.E11-15 Years
  • Diploma12-18 Years
  • Understanding of Purchase process & SOP's
  • Understanding on Commercial Terms & Conditions
  • Understanding of Vendor financials
  • Exposure in ERP systems
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Quality Systems
  • Negotiations
  • Contracts Process
  • Hydrocarbon, Petrochemical, Chemical
  • Pharmaceutical. FMCG, Food & Bio, Mining
  • Infrastructure, Buildings
