Do you want to work in a dynamic Procurement team? Do you enjoy negotiating favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers, and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use. Conducting full development life cycle including interviews of users, development of requirements documents, creating design specifications and implementation of requirements. Driving ongoing supplier optimization and continuous improvement?     

Reporting to the Materials Manager, this person will be a key member of a core team that includes experienced professionals in Engineering, Commodity Management, Supplier Quality and Manufacturing in a fast-paced environment. While managing Kanban ordering process, this is also a broad-based role incorporating supplier communications, negotiation, document preparation, records management, financial administration, inventory management, and general problem solving.  

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Assist or Lead project workflow.  Lead efficient inventory level of all safety stock and review all volume requirements for all production materials.
• Plan inventory levels, locations, and execute all forecasting and planning programs.

• Be a champion for the material processes. Promote problem solving around On Time Delivery misses daily, work to implement effective countermeasures, and provide feedback to affected parties on delivery misses.
• This position will work closely with all other material team members in the plant to ensure effective tactical material execution along with On Time Delivery to the end customer. Will be responsible presenting issues across the organization and working effectively to problem solve solutions.
• Identification and execution of inventory reduction / cost reduction projects

The required qualifications for the job include:

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years' experience Purchasing and working with supply chain and inventory management systems (i.e., KANBAN, MRP, Oracle or similar inventory system)
• Knowledge of International procurement & shipping (total cost model), Oracle or other business operations/purchasing system.
• Experience with complex supply chains and inventory management systems with proven experience and results in negotiating with suppliers.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail focused on delivering value to the business.  Ability to communicate effectively across teams and upwards through the organization.
• Strong analytical skills, initiative, judgment, and problem-solving ability and proven track record of prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Products
