A Day in the LifeOur Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.
As a Business Warehouse IT Technologist, you will be responsible for developing Business Warehouse (BW) objects within SAP Business Warehouse (BW) 7.5 (Netweaver 2004S), including data modeling with DSOs, infocubes, multi-providers and their associated update rules and transformations.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:


  • Responsible for evaluating and designing, developing, or modifying programs for internal functional areas including finance, production, Quality systems, and marketing. 


  • Analyze existing programs and/or formulate logic for new systems.  


  • Develop system design documentation (including GUI design, if required), perform coding, and test/debug programs.  This would include basic ABAP programming skills.


  • Assist in creating ad hoc or bolt-on programs for integrations or functional business teams as needed.


  • Assist in developing conversion and system implementation plans. 


  • Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation. 


  • Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards. 


  • Assist in training users in system enhancements and modifications. 


  • Assist in providing patch and software upgrades to existing systems as required.  


  • Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation for program support. 


  • Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. 


  • Assist in the unit testing of programs or coding developed.


  • Assist in the development of reports using stand SAP BW or Business Object tools.


  • Assist in the monitoring of daily load processes.


  • Works closely with functional users to enhance and maintain programs.


  • Experience with in at least 2 of the following competency areas: LO Cockpit, BEx Analyzer, Business Objects Web Intelligence, Master Data Management, Power BI, Test Automation, and/or Performance Testing.


Required Knowledge and Experience:


  • Experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW) 7.5 (NetWeaver 2004S).


  • Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.


  • Requires a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2 years of experience.
