The Opportunity:
This position will report to Team Lead, Applications Development and will technically support the applications/software used by Sales, Logistics and other Business areas. The candidate will be responsible for working with Project teams, Super users, and Business users in a Global environment mainly in the areas of Sales and Distribution and Logistics.
Job Responsibilities:
- Transform business requirements into technical designs followed by ABAP development, debugging, testing, approvals, and deployment to Production systems.
- Design, build and configure SAP SD, LO technical solutions to match business requirements including SAP standard configuration and customization as necessary.
- Develop technical specifications and estimations for the assigned projects.
- Document all system changes in line with the standard processes.
- Conduct unit testing for the development work and assist in integration/regression testing as needed.
- Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing solutions in a timely manner.
- Act as a Point of Contact for technical skills/expertise to provide on-going business support for SAP and Interfaces with other Core systems ensuring that the organization adopts common approaches from global perspective.
- Work flexibly to successfully handle multiple issues and tasks, completing them on time and within budget while meeting the expectations.
- Complete understanding of SAP Master Data, technical validation of the systems and change control procedures.
- Strong technical background in SAP modules (specifically in SD and Logistics areas). Seek to broaden expertise in other SAP modules.
- Work closely with other team members, locally and globally, proactively sharing expertise to improve and ensure team success.
- Keep up to date with SAP releases and other technology advances.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- 7+ yrs. of ABAP Programming experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with S4 ABAP Cloud development models using ABAP RAP.
- Hands-on experience with new HANA syntax, capabilities and CDS views.
- Hands-on experience with building OData service.
- Hands-on experience with BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, IDOCs and WebServices.
- Hands-on experience with Layouts Smartforms, Adobe forms and SAPScripts.
- Experience working in Offshore/Onsite Support model.
- Ability to work independently, with limited direction, to achieve expected results.
- Basic understanding of JIRA ticketing system.
- Fluent in English and ability to communicate with Onsite teams is a must.
Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
- BTech/BS in Information Technology/Systems or relevant work experience.
- Proven experience in managing SAP implementations (At least 3 full project lifecycle SAP implementations, specifically in SD and LO areas).
- Experience with building UI5 and SAP Fiori applications is a plus
