Analyst will support requests and projects related to spend data and analytics for the global Sourcing & Procurement team. He/she will work with various global team members (category management & Data teams) to ensure key reports are produced periodically. This role will get to work on key strategic projects and should understand delivery of BI solutions. The role seeks an individual with experience and a passion for data and analytics, and a willingness to learn and grow in a global and complex organization.


This role will report to the Senior Director, Spend Analytics.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions, including interactive dashboards in Power BI or Tableau and tabular reports to enhance spend visibility.
  • Understand the current state BI landscape and bring innovation and fresh thinking while addressing the current and future needs of the business.
  • In this role you are required to do ad-hoc spend analysis, prepare complex excel models and do opportunity sizing.
  • Prepare PowerPoint summaries for higher leadership.
  • Understand stakeholder requirements and needs for sourcing analytics and make recommendations where required.

Act as a subject matter expert for spend data and maintain deep knowledge of available and accessible datasets.


Experience
  • High level of technical skills with demonstrated ability to manage, manipulate, analyse raw data, research data issues, draw conclusions, provide resolution, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen.
  • Proficient in analytical tools including but not limited to Power BI, Tableau
  • Track record of managing data and analytics in a complex global organization
  • Candidates will have had global exposure in a similar sized company.
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly, gain the respect of colleagues, and work collaboratively.
  • Understanding of or exposure to global real estate categories in facilities management and capital works projects preferred but not essential.
  • Advanced degree is preferred.
  • Excellent priority setting and time management skills.
  • Experience with any sourcing technology platforms (Jaggaer, Ariba, Coupa, etc.)
Skills
  • Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS Office applications (Such as Excel & Power Points)
  • Communication Skills: An outgoing individual with exceptional communication skills coupled with excellent active listening skills. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences. Establish and maintain strong relationships on all levels of organization
  • Influencing and Team work: Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal. Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization. Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Analytical Skills: Has a structured approach to problem solving with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics. Drives to fix the ultimate root causes to drive sustainable change.
  • Character with high perseverance and resourcefulness required to keep driving and finding ways to get the required steps done. Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations. Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere. Forward looking with a holistic approach
