Overview: 


The role of the Developer plus project manager involves working on cutting-edge projects that drive technological advancements and provide impactful solutions. As a Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Enterprise applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to offer software solutions & enhance user experiences. The role involves management of sites and project management activities.


The Developer and Project manager will be responsible for following activities:


  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, ship new features, gather requirements and define project scope.
  2. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java to build and customize Workzone Application. Good knowledge on Cloud Application Programming (CAP) and other BTP products.
  3. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  4. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  5. Carry out maintenance tasks to have the workzone and other sites to offer desired solutions.
  6. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  7. Ability to use authorization and security tools such as IAS and IPS and custom roles.
  8. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards.
  9. Lead and manage development projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  10. Conduct regular project meetings, provide status updates, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  11. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  12. Ability to work extended hours as per project and business demands.

Experience (Role Requirements):


  1. Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a deep understanding of Java programming and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
  2. Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, executing, and closing projects.
  3. Regular cadence on project tasks , reporting on work activities and maintenance of workzone and similar data related sites.
  4. Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  6. Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  8. A passion for staying updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  10. A proactive approach to learning and applying new technologies to improve team performance.
  11. Strong organizational and time management skills.

About the team


You will be part of the SAP Concur services team, focused on enhancing employee productivity and engagement through a customized Workzone platform. You will develop and maintain features within the Workzone application, creating user-centric digital experiences that streamline internal workflows, improve collaboration, and provide employees with a unified access point to essential tools, services, and resources.
