Job Summary


Caterpillar is seeking a skilled Business Manager (Analytics COE Enablement Lead ) to join our team to act as a champion for our Period Tower - Analytics COE -Global Finance Services Division .


COE Enablement Lead will work very closely with COE Analytics Director to drive the strategy for Analytics team & lead transformation initiatives. Ability to bring opportunities, generate story ideas to influence employees/stakeholders & present lucidly the value adds of the COE team in ambiguous & short timelines will be an integral part of the role


The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India


What you will do


COE Enablement Lead will work very closely with COE Analytics Director to drive the strategy for Analytics team & lead transformation initiatives. Ability to bring opportunities, generate story ideas to influence employees/stakeholders & present lucidly the value adds of the COE team in ambiguous & short timelines will be an integral part of the role.


  • Flexibility to act at Individual Contributor or Manager
  • Standardisation in employee engagement programs across the COE Analytics
  • Lead Quality checks across the towers in COE Analytics and drive operational metrics for COE & Business metrics for customers
  • Initiate Actvity Analysis across the COE Analytics team and identify re-organisation opportunities 
  • Drive Career Development programs for employees at various salary grades for retention & talent development 
  • Plan Recognition & Rewards program, Employee Engagement programs to build a positive team culture
  • Identify training needs by tower, work with HR/Training team & get the programs rolled for team
  • Build a tool to track incidents  that are teachable moments for the team & communicate with agility across the COE Analytics team
  • Work with COE Analytics Director to scale challenges as we grow rapidly over the next few years

Work Location & timings


  • Travel may be needed, occasionally
  • General Shift - 11 to 8 pm & may need to join a few USA time zone calls every week
  • Working from Bangalore, RMZ Office, Whitefield - 3 -4 days from office

What you will have 


  • Good Excel & excellent PPT Skills
  • Listening and Excellent Communication skills (Verbal & Written)
  • Experience of working with people - transformation journey and metrics definition projects will be added advantage
  • Working in ambiguos situations, positive mindset & solution oriented thinking
  • CA, CPA, ICWA, CIMA, ACCA may be an advantage, but not a must have
  • Ability to colloborate & influence people not directly reporting, will be critcial for success in this role

Planning: Tactical, Strategic : Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Develops, refines, and communicates tactical plans for own responsibilities.
• Provides the right level of detail as input for strategic plan development.
• Demonstrates the value and necessity of linking tactical plans to overall strategic plan.
• Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of existing departmental-level plans.
• Plans for allocation of resources in line with unit goals, technical and business objectives.
• Ensures the planning process is integrated with the overall business plan.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Differentiates assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks.
• Evaluates past decisions for insights to improve decision-making process.
• Assesses and validates decision options and points and predicts their potential impact.
• Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives.
• Uses effective decision-making approaches such as consultative, command, or consensus.
• Ensures that assumptions and received wisdom are objectively analyzed in decisions.
