Business Intelligence Manager -India
Account Management – Work Dynamics (Country, Region)
What this job involves :
The BI Director- India is responsible for leading and developing the organisation's global business intelligence strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives. This role oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of BI solutions across all regions, ensuring data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
Develop and execute a comprehensive global BI strategy
Align BI initiatives with business goals and objectives
Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a global team of BI professionals
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Collaborate with regional BI leaders to ensure consistency and best practices
Technology & Infrastructure:
Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of BI tools and platforms
Ensure scalability and performance of BI infrastructure
Stay current with emerging BI technologies and trends
Data Governance:
Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures
Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all BI initiatives
Collaborate with IT and business units to define data standards
Stakeholder Management:
Partner with C-level executives to understand and meet their BI needs
Communicate BI insights and recommendations to key stakeholders
Manage relationships with vendors and external partners
Project Oversight:
Prioritise and manage global BI projects and initiatives
Ensure timely delivery of BI solutions within budget
Monitor and report on project progress and ROI
Analytics & Reporting:
Drive the development of advanced analytics capabilities
Oversee the creation and distribution of global reports and dashboards
Promote self-service BI capabilities across the organisation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; MBA preferred
10+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or related roles
5+ years of leadership experience in a global or multinational organisation
Strong understanding of BI technologies, data warehousing, and analytics platforms
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
Experience with change management and driving organisational adoption of BI tools
Strong project management and problem-solving skills
Required Skills:
Advanced knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)
Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis (SQL, R, Python)
Understanding of data modelling and ETL processes
Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
