Snowflake Educational Services is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead the scoping, coordination, support of the sales process and craft education programs for our key customers. We're looking for a skilled communicator and influencer who understands customer buying behavior, the value of training, and is passionate about supporting data professionals throughout their learning journey.


In this high-impact role, you will influence, enable, and empower both individuals and organizations through Snowflake’s training and enablement programs. Your efforts will help increase Snowflake skills across the organization, drive platform adoption, and accelerate customer success. You are responsible for establishing and nurturing long-term, trusted relationships with our customers. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, fostering business growth with both new and existing accounts, and actively identifying opportunities to drive customer enablement.


Success in this role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams across various regions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, self-driven professional with a natural curiosity to learn, explore, and innovate.


This is a hybrid position, with the work location based in either Bangalore, India.


JOB DESCRIPTION:


  • Sales and Negotiation: Build and grow enablement programs within the assigned territory with a focus on exceeding targets, increasing student enrollment, and enhancing certification attainment. Negotiate and close sales opportunities by providing in country sales support for global accounts.


  • Business Development: Collaborate with the sales team to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth within your assigned territory.


  • Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain strong alignment with various internal stakeholders, including Education Services, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.


  • Collaboration and Coordination: Serve as the lead point of contact for Educational Services for select customer accounts, as well as for internal teams regarding Snowflake Training and Certification programs within the Global Competency Centre (GCC) and other strategic education programs.


  • Teamwork and Leadership: Be a team player who elevates others and fosters strong customer loyalty, promoting collaboration across departments.


  • Independent Initiative: Operate independently with a proactive, solution-driven mindset to address customer needs and drive success.


  • Customer Relationships: As an ambassador of Educational Services, develop strong relationships with key business executives and senior internal stakeholders. Your subject matter expertise, along with your ability to connect, influence, and secure training outcomes, will be critical in fostering these relationships.


  • Trusted Advisor: Build, enhance, and maintain strong, trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.


Ideal Candidate:


  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience with proven success in IT Training and Certification is essential, ideally in a Key Account Manager role or similar, complemented by a BA/BS degree.


  • Communication and Influence: Strong ability to communicate, present, and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-level leadership.


  • Sales Success: A proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas and assigned goals.


  • Client-Focused Solutions: Experience in delivering customized solutions that directly address customer needs and business objectives.


  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.


  • Technical Expertise: Relevant technical knowledge in areas such as database systems, cloud computing, and virtualization, with the ability to engage deeply with critical industry technologies.


  • Communication Skills: Exceptional listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.


  • Sales Methodologies: Experience with consultative sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN etc.) is a plus.


  • Self-Starter: A highly motivated self-starter capable of managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects.


  • Creative Problem-Solving: Strong ability to think outside the box and provide creative solutions, while executing effectively on initiatives.


  • Influence and Buy-In: Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to sell ideas and gain buy-in from diverse stakeholders.


  • Execution and Time Management: Strong hands-on execution capabilities, with effective project and time management skills.


  • Technical Tools: Experience with Salesforce and Tableau is highly desirable.


  • Cloud and Data Knowledge: Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud applications, data science, analytics, and AI platforms.


  • Growth Mindset: A pragmatic and optimistic mindset, with a focus on growth and the ability to think on a global scale while managing multiple priorities.


  • Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with an ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
