General Summary:

Qualcomm is looking for a Business Development Manager for the Connectivity, Broadband and Networking to lead our initiatives in India.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, drive execution, and support the go-to-market plans and India customer engagements. In addition, the candidate is expected to define, gather customer requirements, and prioritize use cases while working closely with Product, Engineering and Business Development teams across various geographies.

The position requires strong expertise in 5G NR, 5G MM Wave, 4G, Wi-Fi and other networking technologies as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Good basic knowledge of HW, SW Systems and Chipset architecture
• Good understanding of complete SoC product life cycle
• Good understanding of product BOM and ways to optimize BOM
• Ability to do Market Analysis, conduct-in-depth market research to identify new trends, customer needs and competition.
• Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategy for broadband solutions, including market entry, pricing strategy and go-to-market plans.
• Translates customer feedback and market dynamics into potential changes to ensure a differentiated product roadmap.
• Interact with partners and lead customers to ensure product success.
• Work with technology product management and engineering leads to drive requirements into the technology roadmaps
• Work with customers and internal engineering teams on customer RFIs, RFQs, and system-level use case modelling & analysis
• Achieve Revenue targets by effectively selling broadband solution and services, manage sales pipeline and forecasts.
• Work with distribution partners, design partners to expand the business.
• Technical knowledge to stay updated on Broadband and networking technologies, industry standards and best practices to provide expert advice and insights to clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 3-5 years of Business Development, Product Management, or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, with a focus on IoT solutions
• Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing deals.
• Connections with component suppliers and distributors in India and abroad
• Deep understanding of operational aspects like reliability and product test.
• Good understanding of Indian operator market landscape and regulatory environment
• Effective communication skills with cross functional teams, both technical and non-technical, within a fast-paced, collaborative, innovative environment, including experience in discussing complex ideas with partners, customers, and executives
• Willingness to travel as required.
