Job Description

As a Product Owner in Legal Solutions in the Legal line of business, you will review Regulatory Content ingestion, Quality Assurance/Control, and documentation to support an in-house Legal application. Documenting user stories, participate in planning sessions and work with technology, subject matter experts to analyze user stories and requirements. Also, reviewing and triage and prioritize defects as well as provide an oversight on test cases, test plans, and other test artifacts creation for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).


Job Responsibilities


  • Writing new user stories, specifying acceptance criteria, grooming and prioritizing product backlog
  • Performing business analyst responsibilities such as gathering requirements, scope deliverables and concisely deliver a data/metric backed story with proposed solutions
  • Influencing internal stakeholders on key business decisions and change efforts—developing strong, trusted advisor relationships with key partners to drive consensus on business requirements
  • Delivering timely, meticulously tested quality checks results at each process stage
  • Facilitating continuous improvement by harvesting lessons learned and identifying reuse opportunities. Demonstrate a controls-based mindset. Effectively manage multiple streams of work and deliver high-quality product in a timely manner 
  • Maintaining documentation including but not limited to training and education material, data lineage, reference, and mapping guides for data elements that require hierarchical grouping or categorical mapping.
  • Measuring, tracking and benchmarking progress/performance against established standards on an ongoing basis and deliver timely, fact-based updates on key initiatives, risks and issues

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 


  • Bachelor’s degree with product owner/ business analyst experience
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and understand requirements. Utilize good analytical skills in order to aid in trouble shooting and problem solving 
  • Exceptional presentation skills with experience developing and delivering compelling Power Point presentations that “tell a story” and enable decisions to be made
  • Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels, in a peer-like way, and achieve goals without direct control over all resources. Communicate effectively (verbal and written) on both a technical and business level 
  • Highly organized, good decision-making skills, detail-oriented and able to drive workstreams / projects
  • Must be detail oriented and capable of analyzing issues from end user perspective, ability to identify and escalate issues timely and appropriately
  • Should be able to work under tight deadlines and be able to work with remote teams

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills


  • Previous experience performing Quality Assurance /Quality Checks preferred 
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence preferred
