Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Abuse Prevention vertical of IES Returns/NCRC team. The team's vertical is focused on eliminating abuse and misuse associated with customer returns and rejects, thereby improving the business P&L. This role would drive analytics support for product managers and business intelligence engineers for key strategic priorities.
The position represents an exciting opportunity to be a part of a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, well-versed with SQL (Python is a plus), and driven to provide insightful and timely data-based insights. The candidate should have strong analytical and communication skills. There is always room to make things better so this candidate should also have the ability to invent and simplify. Lastly, the candidate should have an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key job responsibilities
This person will own the production and delivery of suite of analytics reports and dashboards used by the team to make key business decisions. This will involve:
1. Build the data structure, transformation processes, load jobs in Redshift/SparkSQL and data processing and presentation in Excel
2. Debugging report issues and unblocking workflows
3. Communicating with the Product team and customers to provide status updates.
4. Publishing detailed automated dashboards
5. Creating the report requires extracting & transforming data from tables and loading it into tables with an optimized data structure
- 2+ years of data analytics or automation experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of data pipelining and extraction using SQL
- Knowledge of SQL and Excel at a moderate or advanced level
- 2+ years of business analysis (dealing with large complex data) experience
- Knowledge of SQL/Python/R, scripting, MS Excel, table joins, and aggregate analytical functions
