Illumina is seeking a Business Analyst (3-6 years of experience) to drive solutions in SAP EHS functional area. This is a Business analyst role for SAP EHS (ECC and S4 HANA), and integrating with 3rd party regulatory content providers (3E). These core components make up our EHS solution. In addition to EHS, the analyst will support cross-functional process and system integration to other SAP moduless and systems like TMS, EWM, and Label management application. The focus of this role will be allocated to projects and quarterly releases including upgrades, new product introductions, integrations, and net new functionality delivered via application configuration and project promotions.
The individual will need to support Developers, Super Users and End-users to ensure EHS meets Illumina’s Quality standards and industry best practices. This role functions as an analytical business partner and is responsible for supporting solutions to problems including reviewing, planning, testing, documenting, and implementing design changes within the EHS solution space.
Responsibilities:
This role involves help developing our SAP EHS capabilities together with the lead. The ideal candidate should have very good SAP EHS experience and helped establishing SAP EHS System to provide advanced SAP support to the business.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, knowledge transfer, and documentation.
- Assist the project or program lead with tasks related to individual responsibilities.
- Demonstrate clear, analytical, and critical thinking skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working as both an individual contributor and as part of a collaborative team.
- Work independently with the project team on the core SAP EHS PS modules, requiring minimal oversight from the Team Lead.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or postgraduate qualification in any field.
- The successful candidate should be proficient in SAP EHS PS solution functionality, including specification database design (hierarchy, compositions, inheritance, value assignment), safety data sheet (SDS) authoring and distribution, label creation and generation (using SAP or other solutions), and hazardous materials classification and shipping (DG).
- Expertise in WWI template building and management, 3E content data loading and management (using OCC/Optimize Broker), and managing expert rules configuration (Expert). Familiarity with EHS PS Configurations, including Generation server (GenPC) and Expert servers.
- Desirable: Experience with ECHA PCN determination using 3E Notify.
- At least one end-to-end SAP EHS greenfield or brownfield implementation experiences, along with experience in rollouts and application maintenance/support projects.
- Knowledge of integrating EHS with TMS (Dangerous Goods Management), EWM (Hazard Substance Management), and logistics (EHS outbound process).
- Experience in migration from ECC to S/4HANA is a plus.
- SAP ABAP debugging experience is desirable but not essential.
- Exposure to Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting and analytics is advantageous.
- Experience in Worker Safety – Incident Management, Risk Assessment, Management of Change and Environmental Management is considered as added advantage.
