IN Reach - Analytics and Science Team (AST) has a vision to embed a data culture deeply in our IES Shopping Experience organization, fostering invention through insights, and building a robust data architecture to support business needs. We spin the insights flywheel by growing a pool of bar-raisers and diverse data professionals, which empowers us to continuously enhance our data capabilities, holistically covering disciplines of Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Machine Learning.
Key job responsibilities
As part of the IES Shopping - Analytics and Science team, the Business Analyst will be responsible for working closely with the Content Commerce team to analyse data, build inferences, and deliver compelling and actionable data insights. The candidate will work extensively on building and managing dashboards. This role requires an individual with excellent understanding of SQL and query development, good business acumen and the ability to work with quantitative and business teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and driven by a desire to innovate in this space.
- Experience in data analytics or automation
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of data pipelining and extraction using SQL
- Knowledge of SQL and Excel at a moderate or advanced level
- Experience with data mining tools like SQL, SAS, SPSS, or similar
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or any related quantitative field
- Knowledge of SQL/Python/R, scripting, MS Excel, table joins, and aggregate analytical functions
