About Team
Amazon India’s Ad finance teamprovides strategic support to the India Ads leader and senior leadership on planning, analysis & insights and reporting.
Role Description
We are looking for a highly analytical self-starter to join us as a Business Analyst (FA). The candidate will provide timely, relevant insights and will own the production and delivery of a suite of standard reports, tools regularly used by the organization to make key business decisions. This will involve:
1. Creating, supporting and continuously improving reports and metrics that support the business teams within the specified timelines
2.Converting data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information using tools like Quick sight/Tableau
3.Shaping and delivering key metrics, reports, and indicators on time by which our business will assess its performance. Eg. key metrics tracker, sales pricing dashboard, viewership dashboard
4. Diving deep into large data sets to answer specific business questions using Excel, SQL and other data manipulation languages
5.Working directly with business & tech teams to utilize metrics and analysis to determine improvement opportunities
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and driven to provide insightful and timely information to customers. The candidate should have good communication skills and ability to prioritize effectively to ensure timelines are met. The candidate should have a high bar on accuracy of the numbers as these are critical business metrics basis which decisions are taken by various teams. This candidate should also have the ability to invent and simplify and work effectively with cross-functional teams and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 3+ years of experience as an analyst or engineer in the data/BI space
· Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quick sight, or similar tools
· Experience with SQL & demonstrated ability in writing and tuning SQL scripts
· Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
· Experience with reporting tools like Tableau or other BI packages & advanced excel (VBA etc.)
· Solid communication skills and team player
· Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize workload
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics
· Experience using very large datasets
· 3+ years prior experience in a BI role with a technology company or financial institution
· Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., Python)
· Experience working with large-scale data mining & reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau, Cognos & BI) is a good plus

- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1, Data Ware
- 1+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 2+ years of complex Excel VBA macros writing experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL or ETL
- Experience working with Tableau
- Experience using very large datasets
