Job Description

  • The Transaction Banking Services (TBS) unit provides a full-featured product suite covering Trade and Supply Chain Finance, Cash Management and Payment Solutions which enables clients to optimize their working capital and also build efficiency and automation in their day-to-day business operations.
  • TBS provides an integrated single window approach for all transactional requirements of its corporate clientele across various segments and sectors such as commercial, government and financial institutions. It aims at assisting them with innovative financing and payment solutions as well as offers the convenience of interacting with the bank, away from traditional means.
  • The Transaction Banking team continuously interacts with CFO’s and Treasury Teams of its corporate clients and is committed to build strong relationships by meeting their underlying organizational objectives.

2. Job Purpose (Why does the job exist? What is the unique contribution made by the job holder?)


Agile delivery and Channel Management -


  • Business Analysts are responsible for delivery of new products and services via agile delivery squads for TBS (web, mobile, Host to Host and API Banking)
  • Ensure that new products / features which have potential use cases for other entities (EI and International), are made available at an enterprise level based on demand and relevance.
  • Ensure that all new (Business Requirement Document) BRDs are reviewed and accepted by all stakeholders
  • Review, prioritize and publish the channel backlog at regular intervals
  • Help the Sr. Product Owner in epic/feature prioritization and customer Usability Testing workshops
  • Ensure that our test case repositories are constantly updated and include scenarios relevant to real business situations.
  • Leverage automated testing tools and scripts to optimize testing efficiency
  • Help the Sr. product Owner to build the product release plan.
  • Conduct comprehensive production sanity involving pilot clients prior to launch
  • Conflict Management and Issue Resolution within various Product Squads internally and Externally
  • Conduct periodic trainings and product familiarization sessions.
  • Owning Product Technical Support including Incidents, Problem Tickets and customer queries/complains

TBS Channel – Web, Mobile, H2H & API Banking:.


  • Proven expertise in managing the TBS internet, mobile & api channels.
  • Well versed in Channel onboarding process across business banking and corporate segments.
  • Working knowledge on any one of the TBS channels like iGTB, TCS-BANCS, iCashpro+ etc.
  • Working knowledge in setting up of Corporate Profiles, User Management, Authorization matrix, Payment Rules, Day-0 maintenance etc.
  • Working knowledge on Migration of customers to new corporate banking channel.
  • Working Knowledge on API Banking channel, should have detailed understanding on API payloads and setup on API Banking channel.

Payments Domain.


  • Proven experience in end-to-end processing (outward and inward) of electronic payments (domestic and international) across various country/region specific payment schemes – (preferred: UAE, KSA, Egypt, India & UK).
  • Proven product experience on the below processing components
  • Payment Initiation Channel - Internet, Mobile, API, Host-to-Host
  • Payment Processing - Pre-processor HUB, Payment Engine / Gateway
  • Working knowledge of industry standard payment file / message formats
  • SWIFT MT - 1xx, 2xx, 9xx
  • ISO20022 / SWIFT MX - pain.xxx, pacs.xxx, camt.xxx, remt.xxx
  • Payment rail specific clearing formats
  • SARIE, SADAD, ACH, RTGS, NEFT, IMPS etc.
  • Familiarity with Payments Industry Regulations. PCI-DSS, UAE/KSA Central Bank Regulations.
  • Proven working knowledge on Collection systems
  • Cheque Clearing Systems (Onus, Offus, PDC, etc)
  • Virtual Account - Detailed Understanding on VA Setup, maintenance, Payments – Channel and API.

Product Backlog Management


  • Facilitate the Sr. product Owner in Developing and explicitly communicating the Product Goal
  • Creating clear, precise and well-articulated value driven backlog by describing items as Epics/Features/User Stories Acceptance Criteria
  • Ensuring that Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understood by all relevant stakeholders
  • Keeping adequate work for the team by having a refined backlog of T+ 2 Sprints (where T is current sprint)

Product Release Backlog


  • Facilitate Sr. product Owner in Creation of Release Backlog based to clearly define which feature is intended to be released when
  • Creating the customer feedback loop to incorporate voice of customer

Product Delivery


  • Joint Accountable along with the Sr. product Owner for end-to-end product delivery as per committed timelines/sizing as much as possible
  • Responsible to conduct Refinement and Planning sessions
  • Work with the Scrum Masters to identify the in efficiencies and impediments to improve team’s efficiency overall
  • Provide support and required inputs to the team as needed in order to deliver the respective feature
  • Ensuring right and efficient solution is being designed by Solution Architects to fulfill customers’ expectations

Stakeholder Management


  • Responsible for Stakeholder identification and management for the product.
  • Facilitate Sr. Product Owner to conduct Feature Prioritization Sessions to seek Stakeholders Alignment
  • Responsible to establish and maintain critical communication channels to keep Stakeholders informed
  • Responsible to Conduct Product Demo sessions to seek stakeholder feedback

Channel and platform production support for Account Information and Payment Services (for UAE, KSA, Egypt, India and EI)


  • Facilitate Sr. product Owner to track all production issues related to account information and payment services across Corporate Channels and core platforms (Finacle, Payment Hub, BPM, Express Clear, SWIFT, FTS etc.
  • Based on the severity and ageing of the issue, liaise with the respective platform owners for prioritization, escalation and closure
