Job Overview:


As a Brand Marketing Associate at Coursera, you will focus on driving off-platform marketing initiatives that enhance our brand visibility and engagement in the education technology sector. This role emphasizes creative problem-solving and execution, where you will develop innovative marketing solutions to address challenges while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for creating compelling content and assets that support our marketing efforts across various channels.


Responsibilities:


  • New Marketing Initiatives: Develop and execute creative marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement outside of Coursera’s core platform, including social media campaigns, content for hackathons, and other promotional activities.
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality marketing materials, including graphics, videos, and written content that effectively communicate Coursera’s value proposition to target audiences.
  • Performance Marketing Support: Collaborate with performance marketing teams to create assets that optimize campaign efficiency and maximize return on investment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Domain managers, Channel managers, and Creative teams to ensure alignment on messaging and execution of off-platform initiatives.
  • Experimentation and Testing: Utilize tools for running ads and conducting experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of various marketing strategies, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Identify marketing challenges and develop innovative solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of brand initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in brand marketing or related roles, preferably within a social or creative agency environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Understanding of popular culture references and creative skillset to execute
  • Proficiency in multimedia editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, iMovie) for creating engaging content.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on collaboration across teams.
