Job Description

 Job Title: Book Keeper 


Reports To: Financial Controller in India & Associate Director in London 


Purpose 


To support the business by accurately recording transactions into the accounting systems (Xero and Dext). This role is crucial for ensuring timely payments to suppliers and prompt cash collection from customers. Accurate records are essential for producing management reports, submitting VAT returns, and filing statutory reports. Experience with both Dext and Xero is highly desirable.



Roles and Responsibilities 


1. Enter Purchase Invoices and Expenses: Use Dext to ensure correct project details are entered. 


2. Ensure Correct VAT Allocation: Ensure VAT is correctly allocated for reclaiming/paid when due.    


3. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy. 


4. Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile credit card statements. 


5. Raising Sales Invoices: Issue sales invoices as needed.     


6. Additional Tasks: Perform any other necessary tasks as deemed by the business.
