Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to lead a team of Big Data developers and architects in delivering high-quality projects for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Big Data technologies, excellent leadership capabilities, and a commitment to ensuring successful project delivery.Overall Responsibilities:Lead a team of Big Data developers and architects to deliver high-quality projects for clients.Manage project scope, timeline, budget, and resources effectively.Act as a technical advisor to clients, providing guidance on the latest Big Data technologies and best practices.Collaborate with other technical leads, business analysts, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.Software Requirements:Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.Category-wise Technical Skills:Big Data Technologies: Strong expertise in Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS (Amazon EMR, Redshift) and Azure (HDInsight, Data Lake).Data Warehousing: Experience with data modeling and warehousing concepts.Development Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale Big Data solutions.Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Day-to-Day Activities:Lead the design and development of Big Data solutions tailored to client needs.Manage the delivery of projects, including resource allocation and task assignments.Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide technical guidance and recommendations.Mentor and guide junior team members to improve their technical skills and career growth.Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders regularly.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Certification as a Big Data Professional (CBD) or similar certification is a plus.Soft Skills:Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and understanding.Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.Proactive and solution-oriented attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement.Strong customer focus and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.SYNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
