The Benefit Operations - Operational Excellence Lead is a developing professional role. This role will drive end to end operations excellence across the benefit operations team globally.
This role will be an independent contributor who would manage to execute process simplifications and drive efficiencies across all the processes. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices around operational excellence.
Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies.
Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner.
Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:-
Operations Excellence
Drive operations excellence across Benefit Operations team globally.
Drive process simplifications through multiple initiatives like process mapping, process gap-analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.
Design operational processes by ensuring that the up-stream & down-stream process steps are mapped appropriately.
Should drive standardization & centralization of processes across the Benefit Operations function.
Drive process re-engineering to simplify processes and to remove the non-value added steps.
Design operational governance key performance indicators (KPI) – Accuracy, Turn around time, etc.
Drive internal controls, risk management, compliances across processes to ensure 100% compliance.
Monitor corrective action plans and drive actions for closures on global CAPs.
Work very closely with all the regional benefit operations leads across to drive operations excellence.
Explore opportunities for cross functional integration of processes.
Focus on driving efficiencies for employee satisfaction through voice of our employees / stakeholders.
Drive communication with stakeholders, across Ben Ops and build operational efficiencies.
Drive the culture of continuous improvement across to ensure processes are simplified.
Drive HR Benefit analytics across processes.
Drive Benefit Operations project across the regions.
Operations Management
Should be open to manage the Benefit Operations work for ASIA over and above the OE responsibilities.
Responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group which includes corporate benefits like health & life insurance processes , Leave travel, Company Car, Child care , Meal and other flexi benefits.
Responsible for ensuring appropriate controls are in place and all processes are maintained in an audit ready state at all times to meet compliance and corporate governance standards.
Regular and timely liaison with Payroll partners , Benefit Partners, HR Partners and Retiral & Benefits Vendor partners across the cluster to ensure good governance and controls in the existing process.
Performing End to End responsibility of Checker and controller for headcount reconciliation and Payment related to Benefits, Heath insurance, allowance, Gratuity, Pension , Provident fund and Actuarial Headcount .
Actively participates in discussions to simplify, streamline, re-engineer, automate and/or outsource processes to increase efficiency, reduce complexity and eliminate unnecessary cost. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within HR Ben OPS to support achievement of productivity goals.
Accountable for coordinating and managing the entire Benefits management function while meeting all accuracy, timeliness, satisfaction and NPS metrics.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of operations management, Payroll and Benefits program including statutory rules and regulations.
Must have at least 10 to 12 years experience in managing HR / Benefits operations in Payroll and Benefits.
Must have experience in managing complex processes within the HR function.
Must have equivalent experience and knowledge of corporate & statutory benefits and compliances.
Should have experience in systems like Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, Kronos time & absence systems, etc.
Education:
MBA with a specialization in HR / Operations Management.
Project Management certifications would be an added advantage.
