Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Perform Bearing application analysis
- Communicate analytical results to customers, suppliers, team members and other business units
- Facilitate Bearing supplier & procurement collaboration
- Conduct Bearing parts list & design reuse
- Provide technical support of machine product group NPI and CPI programs for Rolling Element Bearings
- Review and approve Bearing Drawings
- Understand and follow Caterpillar specifications and design guides
- Provide technical support for aftermarket growth projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of Product Design experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Bearing Design
- Proficient with Creo
Top Candidates will also have:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with Microsoft Excel Macros – Microsoft VBA
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with Team Center
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with power transmission
- Project management skills – develop, maintain, and execute a project plan
- Analytical skills and data analytics experience
- Geometric dimensions and tolerances
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with global internal partners
