Position Summary and Location
The Base Manager in Kakinada will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all base operations, ensuring smooth crew changes, material management, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. This role is vital to maintaining operational efficiency and supporting Oceaneering’s mission of delivering high-quality services.
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel domestically and overseas up to 20% of the year, on requirement basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
·Crew Change Management: Oversee crew changes, including immigration and customs clearance, and transportation.
·Crew Health Management: Handle medical emergencies and routine offshore medical needs.
·Material Management: Supervise material supply, maintenance, repair, and fabrication.
·Material Disposal: Manage the scrapping of materials.
·Staff House Management: Handle staff house hiring, taking over, handing over, maintenance, food, upkeep of staff house and surroundings, and staff management.
·Local Authority Liaison: Deal with local authorities such as customs, police, and local politicians.
·Visitor Management: Take care of visitors.
·Audit Management: Ensure compliance with ISO and local audit requirements.
·HSE Compliance: Undertake HSE drills and fulfill all HSE and audit requirements.
·Repair Coordination: Coordinate repairs with the Chandigarh team.
·Crew Training: Oversee crew training programs.
·Third-Party Staff Management: Manage Oceaneering and third-party staff.
·Financial Management: Handle local monthly expenses and file returns.
·Vehicle Management: Look after vehicles on lease and local hiring of vehicles as required.
·Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency response plans and procedures.
·Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications
Required:
·Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
·Minimum of 5 years of experience in base management or a similar role.
·Strong leadership and team management skills.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
