The incumbent will be a part of the Mumbai based M&A Analytics team, which is a Citi M&A initiative aimed at organizing and disseminating M&A deal content on a real time basis. The Mumbai team, in collaboration with the New York M&A team, monitors and analyzes the Global M&A space. The profile primarily includes maintaining high quality client-ready proprietary M&A data and analytics, creating theme-based presentations and trend-based analysis on the M&A market.
Role Outline/Job Summary
The M&A Analyst is required to source, analyze and organize/present M&A information in a thoughtfully approached manner. The analyst needs to be focused on the subject and is expected to prepare client ready outputs on a broad range of M&A topics. The work includes populating/analyzing large datasets, creating/updating presentations, and ad-hoc projects in a high-pressure environment. The data is used in revenue generation for the M&A business, client presentations by the investment bank and onsite / offsite discussions by M&A heads. The role requires the candidate to interact directly with the New York team and hence requires good written and verbal communication skills. The job entails effectively having a strong understanding of the M&A market, being able to comprehend / interpret the required information and summarizing / presenting it in an organized manner, as a client-ready output. The analyst is required to work closely with partners in the New York / London offices with a focused approach on quality of the output.
