Job Description

The Banking Data Management role is responsible for transforming Corporate and Investment Banking data assets related to the external clients into intelligent solutions


As an Analyst within the Banking Data Management team, you will be tasked with the transformation of Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) data assets related to external clients. Your role will involve enhancing efficiency through the analysis, centralization, and integration of data to better support our clients. Your objectives will align with the team's goal of developing intelligent solutions, leveraging big data, and creating an effective central hub for everyone to work with. As an Analyst, you will ensure global data integrity for all required data, conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses, perform data audits on an ongoing basis, and partner with the business to resolve data issues.


Job responsibilities


  • Continuously monitor and ensure data quality and integrity. Ensure new systems and data integrations comply with existing data management policies.
  • Efficiently identify and resolve data quality issues. Stay updated on data management products and trends to support business needs.
  • Lead initiatives to effectively remove corrupt or redundant data from databases.
  • Identify and address root causes of poor data quality, and clearly communicate findings.
  • Collaborate with system architects to synchronize data across multiple entry points.
  • Conduct thorough research and recommend tools and standards for data management.
  • Build strong client relationships and thoroughly understand their business needs.
  • Collaborate with tech teams to rigorously test applications during migrations.
  • Work effectively in large teams and actively contribute to an innovative culture.
  • Understand and deliver products that meet business objectives. Recognize issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Accurately prioritize requirements based on business benefits. Gather and document detailed requirements meticulously

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities 


  • Must be a graduate in any discipline.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively gather, analyze, and synthesize information.
  • Skilled in organizing, analyzing, and presenting data using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possess strong skills in data analysis and organization.
  • Understand data and infrastructure architecture disciplines and design principles.
  • Efficiently manage and execute multiple tasks without compromising quality.
  • Stay informed about technology trends and best practices.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, including active listening and clear idea sharing.
  • Be an effective team player, supporting colleagues and contributing to shared goals.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities


  • Experience in VBA, Tableau, Alteryx, and Python solutions would be added advantage 
  • Prompt engineering for interacting effectively with AI systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex data-related problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Prior experience working in banking, financial services, or a related industry, particularly in data management roles.
