Citi Finance is responsible for the firm’s financial management and related controls.  The team comprises disciplines including Treasury, Tax, Controllers and Financial Planning & Analysis, and manages and partners on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi’s compliance with financial rules and regulations.

The Balance Sheet Mgmt Analyst 2 is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.


Responsibilities:


  • Process data, prepare and control time-sensitive analytics, visualizations and reports to Risk managers, senior management, and regulators
  • Deliver time sensitive reporting requests that can have very short term deadlines from senior management while ensuring that the highest quality of data accuracy, insight and presentation quality is maintained
  • Automate high and critical risk EUCs into Citi’s tech supported infrastructure to allow for a unified, more systemic end to end execution process
  • Responsibilities will be mainly spread across the following areas:
    • BAU activities in creating production reports that need to be done every month/quarter. Responsibility will be from acquiring data from one or more systems, joining/transforming data and then creating executive level presentation output using a combination of internal and external tools
    • New system developments with Python to migrate critical EUCs to ITeSS solutions per business requirements
    • Enhancements to current systems and production processes, including user acceptance testing and control procedure updates
    • Developments of Tableau dashboards in production to build self-service analytical tools for clients

Qualifications:


  • 1-3 years relevant experience in management and/or risk reporting, data analytics preferably in the finance/risk area of a large bank/financial services firm
  • Strong attention to detail; willingness and curiosity to identify and remediate potential data quality issues
  • Proficient with Python and Tableau is required
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, Microsoft Excel, Access, and VBA is preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of and interests in finance, markets, banking, and risk management

Education:


  • Bachelor’s/University degree in science, engineering; or finance, economics; or related analytical fields
  • Master’s degree is preferred
