Business Line Information


Global Employee Onboarding Team (Background Verification Specialist) works closely with our Vendor Partner who conducts Background Checks for State Street globally and help us to ensure that we retain and hire qualified hires swiftly and efficiently meeting the State Street Standards.


Purpose of Role:


Looking for an individual who would be responsible to Handle Day to day Background Verification. Coordinating with the internal teams such as Talent Acquisition, Operations and Global Security Team. Reviewing, tracking & updating the BGV status to the lead/Reporting Manager and ensure Background Check is completed within the SLA & maintain quality delivery. Priority cases from the Business is handled in Fast Track mode. Validating the documents received from Employee, Talent acquisition, and Operations team. Consolidation of Daily/ weekly BGV report and sharing daily and weekly basis report with Reporting Manager. Uploading the clear documents of respective employees in State Street tool and reviewing the alerts shared by the Vendors. Develop a strong understanding of State Street’s BGV Process, policies and procedures, and requirements. Escalating the potential unusual activity. Suggest process improvements to achieve improved efficiency and accuracy.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Develop a strong understanding of State Street’s BGV process, policies and procedures, and requirements.


  • Ability to comprehend on critical scenarios & follow the State Street guidelines on case management.


  • Execute the accurate processing of different types of alerts in accordance with standard operating procedures for background checks.


  • Proactively interact with and coordinate with Stakeholders.


  • Suggest process improvements to achieve improved efficiency and accuracy.


Skills and Experience


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


  • Strong time management and organizational skills 


  • Detail-oriented


  • Fluent English language skills.


  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment


  • Strong customer service skills


  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications


  • Experience of a busy and demanding environment


Level Of Education: Degree level education (preferred)


Previous Level of Experience: - Previous administration experience in a Human Resources environment preferable
