Job Title - Axial (Non-Production) Environments Manager

The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data and real time reporting, transforming the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient.


The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes.  This is a once in a generation programme for AstraZeneca and will shape our ways of working globally for many years to come.

What you’ll do


Guadalajara or Chennai


With solid experience in complex transformation programmes and overseeing the provision and delivery of S/4HANA SAP, Non-SAP and legacy ECC SAP environments, as well as the associated integrating middleware connecters, enabling the successful delivery of the required end to end interconnected landscape of environments to support the Axial Deployments in their non-production activities (eg Build and Testing).


Deliverables


  • Implementation of the Axial Environment Management process and tracking tool (JIRA)


  • Deployment specific views of the Non-Production environment requirements.


  • Axial Environment Management Governance and Reporting Process.


  • Creation of an Non-Production Environment Inventory in the appropriate tool (Lean-IX)


  • Creation of a cross programme environment conflicts and dependencies schedule, outlining planned system outages and unavailability (ie for a vendor upgrade).


Key Activities


  • Day to Day tracking of the Environment request process


    • Partnering with appropriate Axial SAP Infrastructure, BTG, ECS and wider AZIT teams as well as 3rd parties to track the fulfilment of the environment requests to completion.


    • Reporting on risks and issues related to inability of environments to be available for the requested dates. As well as actively managing the mitigation and resolution of those risks.


    • Reporting on cross deployment risks and constraints related to environments availability.


  • Maintenance of Environment requests in the tracking Tool (JIRA)


  • Maintenance of the Non-Production Environment Inventory in the appropriate tool (Lean-IX)


  • Align with wider Axial Technology and SD&D teams to ensure environment availability to support activities like Data migration, Configuration deployment and vendor upgrades.


  • Maintain an schedule of planned outages and cross programme conflicts.


Essential Skills


  • Strong Environments Project Manager / Senior Solution Architect with experience in Integrating S/4, non-SAP and Legacy ECC SAP.


  • Large scale transformation experience + global programme


  • Experience in Pharma / LS – advantageous


  • Good stakeholder management


  • Knowledge of Lean-IX


  • Knowledge of JIRA
