Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Developer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud development and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and container orchestration platforms, along with a proven ability to develop and manage scalable and secure cloud environments.


Overall Responsibilities:


AWS Development:


  • Design, develop, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible to ensure environments are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate and enhance AWS services and applications based on business needs.

CI/CD Pipeline Management:


  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI to streamline code deployment processes.
  • Ensure automated deployment processes are robust and minimize downtime.

Container Orchestration:


  • Utilize container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker for effective application deployment and management.
  • Optimize containers for better scalability and performance.

Network Management:


  • Expertly manage networking components, including VPNs, VPC setups, TLS, and HTTPs certificate management, ensuring secure cloud access.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues in a timely manner.

Configuration Management:


  • Use Ansible for configuration management and automate deployment processes across multiple environments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for configuration management and orchestration tools.

Monitoring and Logging:


  • Work with IT infrastructure and operations teams to enhance existing enterprise monitoring systems with added integration and automation.
  • Develop interactive dashboards pulling data from monitoring tools for better visibility into system performance.

Documentation and Training:


  • Create and maintain complete, accurate documentation and code repositories for supported processes and systems.
  • Train team members on using automation and monitoring tools effectively.

Technical Skills:


  • Cloud Development: Strong expertise in AWS services and tools, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation.


  • CI/CD and Automation: Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).


  • Container Orchestration: Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).


  • Networking: Expert knowledge of networking concepts relevant to cloud environments, including VPCs, VPNs, and SSL/TLS management.


  • Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus) to enhance system visibility.


  • Scripting: Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and tool integration.


Experience:


  • Minimum of 8 years in AWS development or related cloud engineering roles, with a strong focus on infrastructure management.
  • Proven experience in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and modify AWS infrastructure as needed.
  • Monitor CI/CD pipelines for any issues and optimize performance.
  • Manage container orchestration and ensure smooth application deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and networking issues in real-time.
  • Conduct training sessions and documentation reviews with team members.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are preferred.
