We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Regulatory Compliance
Principal responsibilities
- Help identify and share best practice in a Compliance space
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative working environment with the Compliance function
- Build and maintain close working relationship with partners in Regulatory Compliance or elsewhere and should be able to work and co-ordinate with remote sites
- Communicate effectively to different audiences, including both Regulatory Compliance and any other internal customers
- Develop and maintain a current knowledge of internal and external Data Governance initiatives and best practices. Develop general awareness of Compliance Regulatory changes affecting the function
- Pro-actively assist management in identifying and containing compliance risk, monitoring, reporting and fostering a positive Compliance culture
- Ability to act proactively and multitask.
- Desire to pass on skills for the good of the team and learn from the other team members
- Actively participate in team meetings and bring solutions/suggestions/recommendations to the table
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, continually assessing operational risks inherent in the processes, taking account of changing operating procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements, management restructures, and the impact of new technology.
