Job Description
As an automation specialist you are part of the team responsible for the identification and development of automation opportunities in the SSC.
Define, promote, and use best practices for automation capabilities (such as RPA) and serve as subject matter expert to others. In your day-to-day activities you drive the implementation of continuous improvement projects & initiatives working closely with SSC operational teams.
- Responsible to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordination and collaboration with all relevant stakeholders to identify and drive process improvement automation. The stakeholders are in a wide range of areas: Finance & Accounting (F&A) Leadership, Business Tech, Operations, GPOs, Transformation Manager, etc.
- Responsible for the implementation of tools and process solutions
- In collaboration, and with input from the F&A stakeholders, define the future automation journey
- Working close with the different sub-process Leads (AP, AR and R2R) and Transformation Office to understand the future needs and pre-requisites
- Act as subject matter experts to implementation of technology & tools using project management capabilities
- Define a clear planning including milestones and dependencies for roll-out of improvement initiatives
- Maintain progress and keep track of potential risks & mitigation issues
- Guide different stakeholders (business tech, finance, operations) to enable decision making and project progress
- Provide frequent updates to Transformation manager and ask for support where required
- Working closely with SSC operations team to maintain the day-to-day technical functionalities
- Responsible to further train staff and management in the SSC on technologies and further automation potential
- Point of contact for the SSC in case of challenges with new technologies or tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Strong knowledge in RPA related programs
- Strong analytical skills and technological acumen
- Ability to effectively communicate with users related to system issues
- Strong analytical, customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in data analytics
- Strong working knowledge of relevant systems / ERP
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a Financial Systems function
- Experience from working within the different finance process areas, e.g., AP, AR and R2R (Stock and A2R)
- Experience with implementing supportable solutions and creating process improvements
- Strong knowledge and experience from RPA related programs
- Experience from working and engaging with senior leadership
- Experience from developing automation within the Retail industry is a merit
