Job Description

Job Purpose:-


This is a new role supporting the niche area of business analysis and automation in Global Financial Services. It will be part of the Data-Digital and Analytics team. The role will be responsible for supporting business services across Global Financial Services through delivery of business analysis (identifying business needs and determining solutions to business problems) and provide end to end delivery and support of automation solutions.


The role will be responsible for supporting business services across Global Financial Services through delivery of operations within the Digital and Innovation team.


The role has the responsibilities for mining and mapping processes, investigating business situations, identifying, and evaluating options for improving business operations, defining & analyzing requirements, identifying best solution to optimize business operations, improve efficiency, and eliminate manual effort through use of automation.


This role will also drive service management best practices including evaluating business service performance, analytics and driving continuous improvement across Global Financial Services.


This role requires critical and design-oriented thinking, understanding of service culture, strong business analysis, robotic process automation, and communication skills. Experience in delivering business analysis, process modelling, identification of automation opportunities, ability to accurately gather business requirements, propose and implement optimized solution and translating technical language into business needs. It requires technical experience in using automation tools and databases to build and maintain automation solutions.


Key Responsibilities:-


Delivery/Operational responsibilities


  • Ability to mine and map process using appropriate documentation standards, identify opportunity for optimization and recommend automation solutions


  • Ability to automate processes using automation tools i.e., Automation Anywhere, MS Flow, PowerApps etc.


  • Management and maintenance of automation products and infrastructure


  • Responsible for delivering high quality automation/chatbot architecture design, workflows and documentation; refine workflows as part of change request and resolve issues and ensure closure


  • Project delivery and execution against multiple automation project plans and delivery commitments


  • Excellent communication skill to articulate technical ideas in brainstorming and discussion and explain technical solutions in a simple manner to non-technical business services


  • Collaboration & negotiation skills, ability to influence without ownership, gaining support and trust across Global Financial Services organization to achieve agreed-upon business outcomes


  • Knowledge in database management, automating systems, coding and understanding of cybersecurity, troubleshooting systems and cloud computing.


  • Horizon scan to stay up to date with the latest technology, techniques and methods and ability to learn new things and trends quickly around artificial intelligence, automation and machine learning


People/Team Management/Customer Relationship Management


  • Active team member working across the Data Digital and Analytics team, supporting Global Financial Services Business Analysis and Automation team and business services


  • Active participation in regular service performance meetings, team meetings, etc


  • Working with business services, GSK Tech and other business functions within GSK


  • Networking with other groups within GSK to drive synergies around automation and transformation across organization


Breadth/Scope of Accountability:-


Number of Direct Reports - This is an individual contributor role that will also be assigned to work in automation operations, continual service improvements and project improvements. Ability to use technical expertise to influence peers, managers and directors will be important.


Previous Experience Required:-


Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience Required -


  • Professional experience in business analysis and process automation using RPA and other techniques.


  • Ability to understand, map and identify improvement to business process with Microsoft Visio


  • Proficient in following languages (not limited to): Java, C++, Python, HTML, JSON, JavaScript, Visual Basic for Application (VBA), Macro, SQL Queries


  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows based applications


  • Expert in multiple automation software/platform i.e. UiPath, Automation Anywhere, PowerApps, MS Flow


  • Proactive, dynamic and creative, willing to take on any challenge and make a significant impact


  • Self-starter, technically competent, quick learner, problem solver, data driven, passionate professional with strong interpersonal, cross-team collaboration and communication skill


  • Experience working in a service management environment and knowledge of service management processes, e.g. risk management, change management, problem management etc.


  • Demonstrated attention to detail


  • Good written and verbal communication and people skills


  • Ability to produce persuasive and concise documents


  • Ability to work off own initiative and comfortable with delegated responsibility


  • Ability to work within a team
