As a <Asst. development Engineer> you’ll be responsible for <designing, validating & photometry testing of the optics at product application level.>.

What you’ll do
  • Design and develop efficient optical design concepts using basic optics principles (refraction and reflection).
  • Create surface/solid parts through 3D CAD software and simulate in optics tools and software.
  • Examine and validate simulation output in lighting application software and rectify the optical design if necessary.
  • Evaluate photometric test data for accuracy and completeness of the design.
  • Study and interpret optics and photometry related National/ International standards and regulations.
  • Management of Optics/Photometry lab by ensuring E2E process of lab operations.
Your qualifications
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Applied optics and Photonics/ Illumination. Engineering with 3 or more years of experience in design of optical systems
  • Ability to work independently as an individual contributor as well as team player.
  • Knowledge of non-imaging optical components (non-imaging lenses, reflectors, collimators, light guides, etc.) for LED light sources and luminaires, optical materials, testing etc.
  • Working experience with photometric & colorimetric test equipment like Goniophotometer, spectrometer, lux meter etc. Knowledge of test practices & safe operating procedures.
  • Experience with Light Tools or equivalent optics simulation software is a plus.
