We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Digital team at Mercer. This role will be based in Pune/GGN/Noida. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.


Associate - Workday Practice(E)

We are looking to hire Associate - Workday Practice Consultant in Digital Solutions, Career; India COE and expect the candidate to:

  • Lead the integration workstream in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex integrations on various Workday implementation projects.
  • Manage workload for the project team, assist in all the phases of delivery lifecycle, collate and report status / impediments with the project team across functional areas
  • Coordinate with the functional leads from other streams, people managers, project delivery teams (EM/PM and Clients) for project delivery
  • Multi-task and engage on multiple projects & internal initiatives
  • Provide leadership and key stakeholders with the information and venues to make effective, timely decisions

  • Leading or participating in Workday implementation projects from planning to execution
  • Lead and mentor a team of integration consultants, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
  • Mentor and coach senior consultants in the team to lead Workday implementations projects
  • Understand the scope of work, identify scope gaps & get them addressed
  • Identify right stakeholders in the project
  • Communicate & collaborate with project internal / external stakeholders for project success & plan inputs
  • Being flexible to work in multiple time zones, multiple teams
  • Drive Ops excellence culture and lead transformational project(s) with clear visible and measurable impact
  • Responsible for driving IP development, improvement initiatives, new tools / methodology and ensuring results with a confined focus on timelines and quality
  • Review project health status for projects being led/delivered by different leads on the Deployment team
  • Lead/Management - Manage workload for the Deployment team, assist team in all the phases of delivery lifecycle, collate and report status/impediments with the greater project team
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to understand leadership vision and implement strategies meeting the Organizational goals
  • Lead Integrations Workstream on Large Enterprise and Medium Enterprise projects
  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with required stakeholders, and manage the project/process to agreed plan
  • Task estimation, prioritization, risk identification and tracking to closure within defined project timelines/plan
  • Participate in design discussions with client to understand business requirements for integrations, and design scalable, optimized and cost-effective integration solutions.
  • Oversee and support the development, configuration, testing and deployment of integrations in the project
  • Lead DA reviews
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to drive high customer service standards
  • Monthly connects with all team members using 1:1 meetings covering issues, R&R, skill matrix, track IDP progress
  • Work with minimum supervision, provide constant feedback on project status and deadlines to all relevant stakeholders
  • Flexible working in different shifts/locations including on-call support
  • Work with recruitment teams to shortlist, interview and select staff with appropriate skills for project activities
  • Takes timely, appropriate actions that address stakeholder needs/expectations    
  • Identify and manage issue resolution including escalation as needed

What you need to have:


  • Education : B.E /B.Tech /MCA /BSc.
  • Should be Workday Certified on Integration Core minimum
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Workday & overall 12 years’ experience is minimum.
  • Strong proficiency in Workday Integration tools and excellent knowledge on Workday Integration methodologies
  • Good knowledge on integration patterns, APIs, XML, XSLT and data transformation techniques
  • Led multiple Medium & Large global implementations
  • Excellent communication and inter personal skills
  • Manage multiple projects & teams
  • Self-driven and adaptability to learn new skills
  • Extensive experience with Workday Project Lifecycle and various Integration approaches
  • Knowledge on multiple Workday Functional Areas
  • Excellent understanding of integration touchpoints for system interactions and cross-functional dependencies
  • Strong proficiency in Workday integration tools such as Workday Studio, EIB, Cloud Connect, and Workday Web Services
  • Strong knowledge on working with data exchange formats like XML, JSON and data transformation using XSLT
  • Strong knowledge of Payroll Interfaces and other complex HCM and Benefit system integration solutions.
  • Self-motivated and strong leadership skills.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of process and systems changes.
  • Ability to absorb new technologies and features quickly.
  • Ability to train users in a classroom setting
  • Effective knowledge transfer skills in non-classroom environment.
  • Passion for customer service.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a home office for remote work
