Generic Level Definition:
An accomplished professional who has gained or is in the process of acquiring the confidence to implement and execute engineering designs, and possess the ability to solve on-the-job problems with minimal to moderate guidance. Conducting activities with a broad application of principles, theories, and concepts pertinent to the relevant discipline.
Responsibilities:
Must-Have Requirements
Able to perform structural analysis & design for steel structures as per international codes & standards (at least anyone or two codes namely American, Canadian, Indian, Australian, European and Brazlian codes),client specifications using advanced computer aided software's for simulation purpose(preferably STAAD pro) along with connections(Bolted/Welded/Anchor Bolt & Base Plate)design with minimal guidance from Senior Engineers.
Able to Perform Load Calculations such as Wind, Seismic, Snow, Temperature and ICE Loads and apply in the Analysis software as per various international codes with minimal guidance from Senior Engineers.
Able to prepare Load Combinations based on project specifications and code and standards with minimal guidance from Senior Engineers.
Able to interpret the various types of pipe and equipment loads and should be able to apply in analysis tools with minimal guidance from Senior Engineers.
Able to define member design parameters in analysis tools for various types of structures with minimal guidance from Senior Engineers.
Able to review structural 3D Model of components like Ladders / Handrails/ Gratings aligning to client specification with minimal guidance from Senior Engineers.
Able to understand & perform peer reviews procedures, processes of various deliverables, engineering computations and evaluations, detailed analysis report with guidance from Senior structural engineers.
Able to review fabrication drawings for Ladders, Handrails & Grating Layout grating cutout plans from 3D Model to meet project schedule and submittal requirement as well as As-built plans & elevations drawing based on redline mark-ups using 2D/3D software's.
Good To Have Requirements (That Supports future Career progression in the Role)
Have working experience and knowledge for design of small to medium complexity structures such as pipe racks, skids and equipment support structures.
Able to perform Lifting and Transportation analysis of skids or modules.
Able to perform review of Layout, General Arrangement & Fabrication drawings/Bill of Material, review pipe supports are located with all required dimensions on the structural drawings.
Able to develop engineering computations and evaluations, detailed analysis report, understand & perform peer reviews structural components like Ladders, Handrails etc inline with client specifications and dimensionally accurate for fabrication following Veolia Quality procedures, processes of various deliverables.
Able to review steel structure 3D Model using Tekla BIM or .nwd to meet project schedule and submittal requirement as per guidance from structural engineers or senior designers.
Able to review Secondary steel & connections detailing, grating cutout plans, fabrication drawings for Ladders, Handrails & Grating Layout, erection marking plans from 3D Model to meet project schedule and submittal requirement as well as As-built plans & elevations drawing based on redline mark-ups with minimum guidance from structural engineers & Senior Structural Designers.
Competent capacity to self-check the work in accordance with Company and customer specifications, and assist in the training of, less experienced structural engineering personnel.
Competent to develop material requisitions , Review supplier technical offers and prepare techno commercial bid evaluation tabs for various Structures.
Engineering Degree –civil /structural / Experience in civil/structural Engineering
3-7 years’ Experience of structural design in Water, Power, Oil & Gas or related Industry.
