Job Title: Associate/Senior Editor - Communications Biology
Location: Pune (Hybrid working)
Nature Portfolio is the world’s leader in publishing high-quality research from across the natural sciences.
We are currently seeking an Associate or Senior Editor with research experience in relevant scientific areas in biology to join Communications Biology - a multidisciplinary open access biology journal. The journal complements our other Nature Portfolio open access titles, Nature Communications and Scientific Reports.
The Associate/Senior Editor role at Communications Biology is ideal for researchers who love science but feel that a career at the bench isn’t enough to satisfy your desire to learn more about the natural world and for those who enjoy reading papers outside their chosen area of research.
We are looking for someone with a research background in Genetics, Cognitive neuroscience, Computational biology, Ecology, Immunology or Cancer biology but would consider strong candidates with other backgrounds in biological research.
A large part of the role will involve working alongside the journal’s Editorial Board.

Editorial experience is not required, although applicants with significant editorial experience are encouraged to apply and will potentially be considered for Senior Editor positions. The position is offered on a full-time basis and will be located in Pune, India on a hybrid working pattern. The applicant must be able to demonstrate the right to live and work in India.
Applicants must include a CV, a cover letter explaining their interest in the post, and a summary in the “Research Highlight” format of a resent paper published in Communications Biology. Closing date April 15th, 2025
