Basic Function/ JOB SUMMARY
The Junior PMO (Project Management Office) will support the organization in delivering its software initiatives, ensuring that projects and activities are executed smoothly. This role will assist in coordinating key planning events, managing internal project logistics, tracking key metrics, and providing general administrative support to the PMO and leadership teams. The Junior PMO will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency by supporting project management tasks and fostering collaboration across teams.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project managers in developing project plans, including defining project scope, identifying deliverables, and creating timelines.
- Track project progress and identify potential risks or issues including follow up with teams.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of project documentation, such as status reports, meeting minutes, and change requests.
- Coordinate with project team members to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Support project managers in managing project resources, including budget, personnel, equipment and maintain accurate project records.
- Facilitate communication between project team members and stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of project management tools and processes.
- Prepare status updates and presentations for leadership, summarizing progress and key metrics
- Take on ad-hoc tasks as they arise, providing flexible support to the PMO and leadership team
Job Qualifications
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities / Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in Project management or related field
- Good knowledge of Microsoft tools. (Power point, MS-Teams, Excel, MS-Word)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of software development (e.g., Agile, Scrum, SAFe) is a big plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
