Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:
- Total Experience 10+ years.
- Fluency in Japanese and English with strong written communication skills in both languages.
- Hands on experience translating PowerPoint presentations, documents, reports, and other business materials from Japanese to English and vice versa.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, contextual relevance, and preservation of intended meaning and tone.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Word.
- Familiarity with translation and localization tools (e.g., Trados, memoQ) is a plus.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
- Strong organizational and proofreading skills to maintain high-quality translations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Japanese Studies, or a related field (preferred).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate PowerPoint presentations, documents, reports, and other written materials from Japanese to English and English to Japanese.
- Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with company terminology and style guidelines.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deadlines.
- Proofread and edit translations to ensure consistency and high quality.
- Maintain updated glossaries and translation memory databases for ongoing and future projects.
- Support the localization of materials to align with the cultural and linguistic nuances of Japanese audiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
