Role and Function Description:

The Colleague Services (CS) organization within the Colleague Experience Group (also known as Human Resources) at American Express plays a critical role in providing the best-in-class services, capabilities, data, and insights that enable a great colleague experience. The organization builds and evolves essential products and services to enable the Colleague Experience Group (CEG) and the business. The CS organization manages the ecosystem of CEG products, processes, platforms, applications, third party partners, colleague insights and reporting, and colleague-related risk, compliance, and governance.


The successful candidate will be responsible for managing testing and testing related activities across the Oracle Fusion HCM Platform, including capabilities that enables the core HR, payroll, and benefit experiences. The team member will be responsible for coordinating all testing activities on change requests, new product initiatives, enhancements involving End To End data flow validations.


Job responsibilities include:
  • Understanding business requirements and creating test scenarios, planning test cycles, and executing to achieve (User Acceptance Testing) UAT test results.
  • Following up with key partners (up streams and down streams) on the transaction entered and provide guidance on UAT intent.
  • Validating downstream files with business/vendor and follow-up with tech, in case of any discrepancies or issue resolutions required.
  • Loading upstream files into HCM systems to confirm a successful load and working with tech to mitigate any issues that does not meet requirements.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify testing requirements, prioritize tasks, highlight risks and resolve issues with mitigation approach.
  • Accelerate the testing effectiveness by incrementing utilization of test automations and solutioning around the process gaps.
  • Participation in regular business / process related calls and meetings.
Key Skills
  • Good knowledge of Oracle HCM – MyInfo platforms/functionalities like MyInfo (HCM), Payroll platforms (Dayforce, Global View) and terminologies for usage in day-to-day work responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage independent execution of test scenarios/conditions with multiple test cycles including New Hire, legal employer Transfers, Work assignment changes, compensation changes, Terminations etc. and coordinate end to end testing with all parties involved.
  • Clear understanding of the HCM process flows and how data flows to/from HR systems.
  • Expected to have good knowledge on MS applications, Planner, Airtable, Rally and other cloud based storage applications.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to partner across the forum of business, technology, and various other servicing groups.
  • Flexible to work in multiple time zone or at least overlapping EST time zone due to key partner presence.
  • Working Experience of Taleo, ER Case management tool, OTBI reporting, Oracle Alerts and Rally testing tool is an added advantage.
