Job Description

Software Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Murex Back Office (BO) and expertise in Accounting modules would be desirable.
  • Familiarity with Murex workflows and configurations
  • Understanding of financial products and relevant accounting principles
  • Experience with SQL, database management, and reporting tools
Overall Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance Murex Back Office (BO) which would involve creating new murex formulae and workflow tasks.
  • Configure Murex workflows to support financial transactions and reporting
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into Murex solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Murex BO and Accounting modules
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
Categorywise Technical Skills:

Murex Back Office (BO):


  • Configuration and customization of Murex BO workflows
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle events and processing within the Murex platform
  • Integration of Murex BO with other functional areas such as Front Office and Risk Management

Accounting in Murex:


  • Implementation of accounting rules and setups in the Murex platform
  • Extraction and generation of financial reports from Murex
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial product valuation within Murex

Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years experience in Murex development, with a focus on Back Office (BO)
  • Hands-on experience in implementing Murex workflows and accounting setups
  • Strong understanding of financial products and their lifecycle within Murex
Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Develop and customize Murex Back Office workflows to support trade processing and settlements
  • Implement accounting rules and configurations within the Murex platform
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Participate in testing, debugging, and performance tuning of Murex BO and Accounting functionalities
Qualifications & Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
  • Murex certification or relevant training is a plus
