Job Description
Software Requirements:- Proficiency in Murex Back Office (BO) and expertise in Accounting modules would be desirable.
- Familiarity with Murex workflows and configurations
- Understanding of financial products and relevant accounting principles
- Experience with SQL, database management, and reporting tools
Overall Responsibilities:- Develop and enhance Murex Back Office (BO) which would involve creating new murex formulae and workflow tasks.
- Configure Murex workflows to support financial transactions and reporting
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into Murex solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Murex BO and Accounting modules
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
Categorywise Technical Skills:Murex Back Office (BO):
- Configuration and customization of Murex BO workflows
- Understanding of trade lifecycle events and processing within the Murex platform
- Integration of Murex BO with other functional areas such as Front Office and Risk Management
Accounting in Murex:
- Implementation of accounting rules and setups in the Murex platform
- Extraction and generation of financial reports from Murex
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial product valuation within Murex
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years experience in Murex development, with a focus on Back Office (BO)
- Hands-on experience in implementing Murex workflows and accounting setups
- Strong understanding of financial products and their lifecycle within Murex
Day-to-Day Activities:- Develop and customize Murex Back Office workflows to support trade processing and settlements
- Implement accounting rules and configurations within the Murex platform
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in testing, debugging, and performance tuning of Murex BO and Accounting functionalities
Qualifications & Soft Skills:- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
- Murex certification or relevant training is a plus
