We are currently looking for self-driven, passionate, skilled application testing engineer experienced with web testing as well as having experience leading a team of QA professionals.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Leads a team of Software testing professionals
  • Assigns, monitors, reviews progress and accuracy of tasks, deliverables, projects, and timelines.
  • Distributes the workload equitably and ensure quality output, productivity, and performance standards
  • Perform software testing and Quality Assurance services including test plan creation, test case authoring, defect tracking, software requirements review, automation testing and product deployment.
  • Create technical documents including quality status reports, test plans, test cases, requirements traceability and technical help documentation.
  • Author presentations, flow charts, diagrams, and other project documentation and deliver demonstrations of core products and solutions.
  • Ensure QA process is well defined, controlled, managed, improved, and followed by the QA team
  • Meets regularly with the team members to understand their challenges, hear their feedback, conduct Get Togethers, PDP, performance evaluations and to help them improve in their roles.
  • Establish metrics to measure individual output, team output etc., report and lead course corrections
  • Leads the integration of new technologies or Automation initiatives within scope of project/team.
  • Works as an individual contributor at least 80% of time and the remaining 20% focusses on team management.
  • Promotes a culture of quality work, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Monitors IT best practices and develops appropriate standards, processes, policies, and guidelines
  • Works with business partners and local leadership to develop and execute strategies and plans
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters, POs, and other team leads to ensure common prioritization and delivery expectations
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
  • Identifies, establishes and leads a Tech lead role within the team

Criteria


  • Experience testing web applications in a large scale fast paced environment
  • Proven track record in Software Quality Assurance
  • Significant experience with Quality Assurance strategies and methodologies, such as Traditional Waterfall and Agile.
  • Experience in Requirements Gathering, Product Acceptance, Documentation and End-User Training.
  • Experience with the use of automation testing tools
  • Familiarity with the regression testing process
  • Detail-oriented, results-minded team player with superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.


Requirements


  • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in Software testing and QA practice of which last 8+ years must have been on testing the software products.
  • Passionate about Software testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching and supporting team members.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in agile development process such as SCRUM or Kanban.
  • Ability to work in a UK/US shift preferred.
  • Strong on overall QA processes

Beneficial but not essential


  • Certification in software testing standards and qualifications
  • Certification in Scrum
  • Experience leading a team of QA professionals
