Associate Lead Software Engineer (Java+Angular)

We are looking for an Associate Lead Software Engineer – Full stack (Java + Angular) who should be passionate about software development and technology and have demonstrable technical and problem-solving skills. The candidate will show a clear understanding of development trends and a broad understanding of development paradigms.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• At least 6+ Years of Java/J2EE 2+ years: JDBC, File I/O, Advanced Java, Multi-Threading, Collections development experience.
• At least 4+ years of Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS experience.
• Object-oriented software design patterns.
• Release cycle of modern, Java-based web applications
• Database knowledge - SQL, Oracle 19c, Postgres.

It would be great if you also had . . .  

• Experience with Bootstrap 5, Material Design, and Theme Engines
• Working with continuous integration and continuous development environments.
• IDE: IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse
• Agile/Scrum Software development methodologies.

What will you be doing in this role? 

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards.
• Review other code to ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Suggests alternative methodologies or techniques to achieving desired results.
• Develops and maintains understanding of software development lifecycle and delivery methodology.
• Reviews and revises new procedures as needed for the continuing development of high-quality systems.
• Maintains knowledge of technical advances and evaluates new hardware / software for company use.
• Follows departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Works closely with higher-level engineers to increase functional knowledge.
• Automate tests and unit tests all assigned applications.
• Participates as a team member on various engineering projects.
• Writes application technical documentation.

About the Team   

The stakeholders for the role are Analytics team, Application Teams on the business side, Enterprise Solutions Teams and other Cross-Functional Internal IT Teams, External Vendors and Partners. The team consists of 20+ engineers and are reporting to the Director of technology.

• Fulltime
• 45 hrs/week
• Hybrid working model
