We are looking for a talented Senior Product Engineer to facilitate the design and manufacturing of our current and next line of exciting products. As a Senior Product Engineer, you will be working closely with the Design and Cross Functional Teams to create industry-relevant products that meet company specifications.
Job Summary:The position is responsible for Project Management support activities and is expected to be perform the cost analysis for Product and Project in the project life cycle and Life Cycle Cost analysis during the project and also in product life cycle.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsibility for Life Cycle Cost commitments in tenders and projects
  • Responsibility for performing stage wise product and project cost analysis in NPD project life cycle and monitor planned vs actual variations.
  • Supporting to global program managers and PMO analysts by providing cost data with data driven approach by providing interactive/dynamic dashboards and storytelling approach.
  • Responsibility for End-of-Life / Recyclability Analyses
  • Management of inputs and outputs with other departments (definition of BOMs, preventive and corrective maintenance, labor hours, time to repair, special tools, spare part costs, proposal of overhaul kits, etc.)
  • Assurance of standardization B12 of LCC methodology and data across projects
  • Work with suppliers to balance proposals regarding all parameters (part specification, delivery conditions, order quantity, contract requirements, packaging)
  • Influencing product development and product roadmaps
  • Participation in maintenance reviews and First Article Inspections with customers

Qualifications:


  • B.E, / B.Tech  - Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Certification in Project Management Domain is additional advantage but not mandate
  • Certification in Costing Domain is additional advantage but not mandate

Key Competencies:


  • 8+ years work experience in Cost analysis (Product/Project/Life Cycle Cost) for HVAC/similar equipment in manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge in Bill of material, components , subassemblies. In HVAC domain preferable

Cost Estimation - Estimate costs for projects and products, Develop detailed cost breakdowns and forecasts.


Cost Analysis - Historical cost data analysis, cost prediction & cost comparison ( planned vs. actuals)


Budgeting - Developing and managing budgets.


Cost Modeling - Understanding cost drivers and Develop cost models to predict future costs.


Benchmarking - Compare costs to industry benchmarks and best practices.


Cost Reduction - Identify opportunities for cost savings, drive cost reduction initiatives and optimization.


Reporting and Visualization - Cost reports and dashboards, Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.


Data Management: Maintain accurate and reliable cost data.


Conduct special cost studies and analyses.


Provide cost expertise for strategic initiatives.


Collaborate with program managers & PMO analysts to optimize costs, Improve profitability, Enhance decision-making & support in achieving strategic objectives
