Department Profile The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Municipal Securities, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. Morgan Stanley aligns its municipal investment banking, underwriting, sales, trading, lending, and M&A advisory in one integrated organizational group under the umbrella of the Municipal Securities Division. We are looking for an Analyst candidate in G10 Rates Desk Strategy (Sales & Trading). The team provides market insights, in-depth analyses on relevant themes and actionable trade ideas to clients and internal trading desks. The desk covers the entire spectrum of rates products from vanilla/exotic derivatives to cash, across DM rate markets. What will you be doing? Generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients in response to relevant market themes and dislocations Develop & maintain tools and quantitative metrics for spotting market moves and identifying trading opportunities Generate and backtest systematic signals in various rates products Establish/maintain a strong connection with various sales and trading desks. Communicate opportunities to sales, with a view to generate flows for the rates business Interact with partners in other fixed income divisions (fx, credit, commodities) to identify opportunities to collaborate
