About the department
You will be joining the Global Finance GBS Bangalore team, which was established in 2007. Our team is responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Headquarters, North America, International Operations (IO), Product Supply & GBS Bangalore. Our main purpose is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.


The position
As an Associate Finance Controller at Novo Nordisk, you will have the following responsibilities:


  • Reviewing cash & credit expenses, payroll posting and driving month end closing process (accruals & reposting) along with accountant by following up & collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Preparing Monthly Management report, MME, and other internal reporting packages by ensuring ICQ processes are performed timely and maintained well.
  • Independently driving Brand P&L process to ensure transparency in resource allocation process during budget cycles and driving cost challenge meetings with the departments and actively participate in sales challenge meeting.
  • Preparing analysis files for the management and addressing BA queries & submissions during budget processes and drive digitalisation within the affiliate along with supporting BA office.
  • Proactively collaborating with colleagues in other affiliates to continuously identify best practices for standardisation and simplification opportunities.


Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:


  • Masters in Finance (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute with good academic track record and grades.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience in business controlling and other finance disciplines.
  • Solid understanding within the field of accounting and finance with proficiency in PC-tools; extensive knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of VBA / Power BI / Qlik Sense is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and presentation skills with strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Ability to handle and prioritise several tasks with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player and good collaborator with strong stakeholder management experience.
