The Associate Director, Transformation and Project Mgmt Office - Finance will serve as a strategic leader and enabler for innovation initiatives across Financial Planning & Analysis and Controllership functions. The position will be a leadership role that is instrumental in driving transformation projects focused on process improvement, automation, and system modernization while ensuring seamless coordination between Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams.


The successful candidate for this role will be someone who can bring the global best practices and leadership to the role and who is skilled at analysis, innovation and continuous improvement of processes.  Key accountabilities will include:

  • Leadership role for finance of the future and transformation initiatives
  • Budget tracking & reporting
  • Management of cross-functional initiatives and teams
  • Change management initiatives
  • Influencing large teams and global partners without direct authority

A minimum of 10 years of experience is required, with at least 4+ years preferably in a project management capacity. The position will be based in the BMS’s Hyderabad Location (expected 50% in-person) with minimal travel expected. 


Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:


Transformation and Project Management Office


  • Lead and manage multiple innovation projects across Finance functions, including FP&A and Controllership, ensuring alignment with business and strategic objectives
  • Play a lead role in driving improvements in key finance processes globally
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between Finance teams, IT, and other stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements, status reports, and executive summaries
  • Drive process standardization and best practices across finance innovation initiatives
  • Manage project budgets and resource allocation
  • Coordinate change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new solutions
  • Establish governance frameworks for finance transformation initiatives
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies in finance processes

Relationship management and teaming   


  • Build and maintain relationships at all levels throughout the organization, specifically with Hyderabad Hub and global Finance senior leadership 
  • Build an external network to ensure regular exposure to new and best practices, technologies, and process governance standards 
  • Hold self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy   

Risk management  


  • Anticipate needs, assess and manage business risk taking; escalate issues that may impact management reporting process globally; manage through times of crisis and ambiguity
