Role OverviewAs the Associate Director in Systems Integration,you will be driven by a passion for engineeringAPI-first integration solutions that create a meaningful impact. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire integration and associated project lifecycle, ensuring that the solutions meet the highest standards of reliability, quality and efficiency. You will also support federated teams in other parts of the organization through onboarding, with knowledge and expertise required for them to be fully productive.What will you do in this role:Guide a team of integration customer enablement engineers, overseeing the technical design and implementation of solutions including testing, verification, documentation.Lead the design of integration solutions, in close collaboration with architects, platform teams, and delivery leads, ensuring efficient use of the resources, meeting timelines, project goals and strategic objectives.Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing by engaging cross-functional teams and leaders across the organization. Building strong communities of practice to break down silos, align on shared goals, and drive cohesion in designing and implementing larger software systems.Provide technical leadership to more junior engineering teams across integration lifecycle, providing hands-on support when needed, and ensuring adherence to API-first, modern integration design methodologies and architectural principles.Drive the adoption of Automation and DevOps practices in everything we produce, to optimize scalability, performance, and delivery efficiency.Leverage cloud and tools like Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning deployment, testing, monitoring, assuring seamless integration and continuous delivery across environments.Serve as the technical expert, supporting the configuration of systems components and equipment for effective systems testing, and assuring thorough validation of functionalities.What Should you have:Minimum 7-10 years of experience inbackend or integration engineering, programming/software development, IT infrastructure.Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Proven hands-on experience in software and integration engineering, inclusive of coding, designing API and integration solutions, and delivering for high-quality andreliability.Proven experience with HTTP, REST, OpenAPI, OAuth, API Security and other API and relevant Integration technologiesCandidates should have professional coding experience in at least one of the modern programming languages.Proficiency in API-first architecture and other Integration concepts.Hands-on experience with at least one API or Integration platforms.Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams, showcasing strong management and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.A passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in platform engineering practices.Ability to collaborate withing global virtual teams and navigate multiple cross-functional teams.Our technology teams operate as business partners, proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities.
