About your team


Fidelity International’s Global Procurement function provides Source to Pay and Third-Party Assurance Controls services to FIL colleagues globally. It comprises approximately 130 colleagues, based across UK, India, Continental Europe, and Asia Pacific, overseeing spend of ~$900m in 25 countries.


The existing Procurement capabilities are being augmented with recent setup of Supplier Relationship Management COE (SRM COE), supporting management of key suppliers across the CFO, CPO, GC, and Tech & Digital functions, ensuring alignment and a drive towards best practice across all FIL supplier management activity globally.


About your role


The Associate Director - Supplier Relationship Management COE will lead the SRM COE function working with identified supplier relationship managers (SRMs) for key corporate enabler functions like CFO (Finance), CPO (People), General Counsel (GC) and T&D (Tech and Digital) in managing non low risk suppliers in line with risk appetite, optimising post-contract value, Exit Strategy and developing a transparently sustainable supply base.


The role holder will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders from across FIL to establish broad internal stakeholder relationships, drive value from, and manage risk within the Corporate Enablers supplier portfolio. These stakeholders include but are not limited to


Onshore Procurement SRM Lead, Supplier Relationship Managers (SRMs) across FIL; Third party Assurance; Senior Procurement Category leaders; and risk partners across FIL.


The leader will use their experience of supplier risk and relationship management to develop and run routines for a defined element of the Corporate Enablers supplier portfolio, and will ensure that the requirements, contractual obligations, Procurement policy, and business unit objectives are met and evidenced in regular routines. The role holder would need to inculcate a mindset of building relationships, through processes which enable SRMs and business users to translate standard routines into practical guidelines, in line with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities


The role will require Managing existing processes and expanding the scope remit for SRM COE geared towards measuring and governing supplier performance, compliance to contract and reducing supplier risk aimed at:


  • SRM COE work execution management, enabling business SRMs in achieving compliance to tasks in accordance with Fidelity International’s External Supplier Management Standards.
  • Implement best practices related to Exit strategy governance for critical / key vendors.
  • Provide leadership and be able to guide business in developing contemporary practices towards measurement of supplier performance, business continuity and exit planning.
  • Focus on expanding the remit of scope, while optimizing efforts in existing processes
  • Lead with One procurement mindset end to end, working with business and peers from Procurement function
  • Support business in tracking performance delivery of the suppliers against agreed benchmarks, understanding of key contractual clauses and ensure compliance.
  • Spend within contracts reconciles to the contractual commitments across all supplier relationships, using suitable methods for spend reconciliation / leakage monitoring.
  • Contribute to design and evolution of Process Unity / risk tool routines and operationally manage system administration tasks.
  • Bring best practices to analyse and document variations to services, ensuring necessary discipline / agreed change acceptance methodologies and that all activities meet the desired cost, risk & service parameters.
  • Build an understanding of the key commercial elements within the supplier contract and using this to ensure value is achieved where possible.
  • Understand key policy requirements around distinct types of supplier risk, their identification and mitigation processes. Provide support to business users in performing risk identification and mitigation routines.
  • Ensure operational excellence through adherence to designed processes & audits.
  • Critical suppliers with client impacts are treated with appropriate rigour and oversight, in line with FIL Critical Oversight requirements.

The role holder will develop & lead a 7-member COE team located in Gurgaon with continued focus on enhancing value delivery and scope remit and would form a broader community with ~4 colleagues in UK who will be responsible to create supplier strategies (commercial, contractual and risk) & active engagement, and oversight with these functions.


About you


  • 12+ years of work experience in financial services (desirable) with proven experience of leadership including significant personal contribution to the success of the initiative and measurable impact on customers, employees, and performance.
  • 5+ years dedicated in managing supplier relationships, in a procurement role or as business stakeholder.
  • Proven skills in running or setup of a Supplier Relationship Management function & ability to work ways across non structured deliverables.
  • Experience of working within an Enterprise Risk Management framework model, with knowledge of the 3LoD model
  • Service delivery experience covering
    • Structured governance for continuous review and monitoring of key relationships.
    • Measurement and reporting of supplier performance metrices and SLAs.
    • Tracking and reporting of contractual delivery as well as financial commitments in professional services / IT categories
    • Senior Leadership engagement across UK and CE regions
  • Enthusiastic, self-driven and with a high level of self-motivation to overcome obstacles and a strong desire to make things happen.
  • Strong analytical & presentation skills, attention to details with an appetite to dive into issues in depth as needed.
  • Experience with people management and managing 10 - 15 member teams.
  • Part of Director Leadership Team with ability to challenge conventional ideas/ status and work collaborative with Peers with larger Procurement mindset.
