The Role: Associate Director - Software Engineer


The Team: The OSTTRA Technology team is composed of Capital Markets Technology professionals, who build, support and protect the applications that operate our network.  The technology landscape includes high-performance, high-volume applications as well as compute intensive applications, leveraging contemporary microservices, cloud-based architectures.


The Impact: Together, we build, support, protect and manage high-performance, resilient platforms that process more than 100 million messages a day. Our services are vital to automated trade processing around the globe, managing peak volumes and working with our customers and regulators to ensure the efficient settlement of trades and effective operation of global capital markets.


What’s in it for you:
We are looking for strong Dev lead having 11+ years of experience. Person should be technically strong and fully hands-on, with the attitude to completely drive a solution. S/he should have strong debugging skills with the ability to identify root cause and come up with a solution(s). Experience in investment banking domain will be plus. This role is based out in Gurgaon and expected to work with different teams and colleagues across the globe.


Responsibilities: 


Strategic Progress


  • Work with global stakeholders in defining strategic architecture, proposing architecture and improving it as requirements evolve.


  • Drives technology strategy / roadmap for applications


  • Work closely with team to come up with right design and solution for platform


Business Delivery and Financial Performance


  • Provide technical leadership in implementing scalable and robust system design


  • Ensure delivery of software is conducted in a manner consistent with Agile best practices with quick time to market and remaining flexible for requirement changes and any given time in delivery.


  • Ensure the documentation of detailed business requirements and technical specifications in relation to delivered solutions


  • Demonstrate a disciplined approach to cost management and operational excellence with effective management/prioritization of competing demand and supply of resources


  • Meet and improve technical engineering standards


Customer Expectations


  • Ensure the business requirements are kept foremost in mind and addressed in all work. Maintain a good relationship with users by providing clear feedback on issues and user assistance.

What We’re Looking For: 


Essential Experience: (Must have)


  • Ability to drive technology architecture transformations and influence at all levels


  • Development experience in large scale, high volume, multi-threaded and distributed systems


  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels across technology


  • teams


  • Proven analysis skills and the ability to effectively liaise with other teams.


  • Good experience of n-tier architectures, service oriented, microservices and distributed


  • architectures


  • Proven exposure to identify bottlenecks and recommendations for applications varying in


  • architecture and deployment complexity


  • Technologies – Java, Spring, SpringBoot, Microservices


  • Experience of Agile Methodology


Supplementary Experience: (Good to have)


  • Good Understanding of OTC, Derivates, trade life cycle, post trade workflow


  • Experience of Test-Driven Development


  • Experience on any Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
