An integral part of our company IT operating model, Tech Centers are globally distributed locations where each IT division has employees to enable our digital transformation journey and drive business outcomes. These locations, in addition to the other sites, are essential to supporting our business and strategy.    


A focused group of leaders in each Tech Center helps to ensure we can manage and improve each location, from investing in growth, success, and well-being of our people, to making sure colleagues from each IT division feel a sense of belonging in our global organization that partners across the entire company. And together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centers. 


Role Overview 


We are seeking an experienced Associate Director with a strong background in IT procurement to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing and negotiating contracts for IT goods and services. As a key member of our Technology Procurement team, you will collaborate with stakeholders in Tech Centers to define procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-effective solutions. Your expertise in IT procurement processes, market trends and contract management will play a crucial role in optimizing our procurement activities.
 


What will you do in this role: 


  • Responsible for execution and/or implementation of global and regional strategies, keeping the sourcing strategy current and relevant and aligned to the overarching global strategy while meeting business needs.
  • Lead or support global subcategory procurement initiatives.
  • Understand stakeholder needs and ensure that regional / global strategies address these requirements.
  • Leverage procurement tools and data analytics to drive evidence-based decisions that maximize savings opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Technology stakeholders across the Tech Center to identify opportunities to reduce cost or cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Regional / Global team in providing Tech Center inputs in global projects or negotiations.
  • Overall responsibility to improve procurement operational metrics such as driving spend to preferred suppliers for Tech Center.
  • Optimize and implement improvements in sourcing processes, partner and leverage Central Functions resources to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, including audits and risk management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for all IT procurement-related matters across the Tech Center.
  • Build stakeholder relationships to drive value to the business and ensure procurement support on all requirements and any unmet needs.
  • Manage relationships especially with Preferred Strategic Suppliers in the region – leveraging on supplier expertise to drive relevant discussions with the business, tracking supplier performance on key projects or ongoing services, and providing feedback for performance improvement to maximize delivery of services.
  • Manage suppliers and stakeholders in contract term negotiations from initial contracting review to contract signing/execution complying to policies and minimize risk.
  • Establish a regular cadence of meetings with strategic suppliers (quarterly/annually etc.) and involve regional/global leadership to identify category improvement opportunities

What Should you have:


  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or further advanced degree is desirable
  • 5-10 years of Procurement, Business Management and / or IT specific experience. Technical – A strong background / knowledge of procurement process, technology, stakeholder and vendor management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex information to senior executives
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics.
  • Proficiency in using Enterprise System such as SAP Ariba and Fieldglass
  • This position is Hyderabad based and may require up to 10% travel.
